Font Awesome is truly awesome when it comes to implementing it on your website as icon font you can use to enhance your website visually and to enhance your UX with visual interpretation. Font Awesome at its current version of 4.6.3. has 634 icons, which is much more than you have it out of the box in DIVI. You may already seen child theme developers integrating Font Awesome in their themes, or other developers using it in your DIVI based websites.
There is already few plugins available for that, but it is fairly easy to do this programmatically.

Before editing anything you should have a child theme for DIVI because we are going to do some modifications that we don’t want to get erased on the next update. If you don’t know how to do child theme manually there is child theme builder here on divi.space.

After you have child theme uploaded and activated (in case you didn’t had already) go to your WP dashboard menu and under appearance link open your editor. In editor on the right side under files open your functions.php file and inside enter following code:

/**
* Include FontAwesome in DIVI
*/
function font_awesome_script() {
wp_enqueue_script( ‘font-awesome’, ‘https://use.fontawesome.com/9e7f437185.js’, array(), ‘1.0.0’, true );
}
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘font_awesome_script’ );

And press “Save”. Now you can use font awesome anywhere on your site. Go to http://fontawesome.io/icons/,  find yourself icons you need and start creating.
